Totally different from anything that's ever existed before, the American Barrel Racing Association is picking up steam all across the nation and the World! As the ABRA looks forward to its sixth season, members in 30 states and Italy are celebrating the reality of an idea for an Association that is coming to life!

History of the ABRA:
      Welcome to the official website of the American Barrel Racing Association! The ABRA was founded September 1, 2001, and is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing an educational atmosphere for youth and their families. At the end of 2001, the ABRA had 200 members. Since then, the ABRA has continued to grow and expand to almost 2,000 members by the end of 2005! From the very first ABRA event, the uplifting positive environment and affordability of the American Barrel Racing Association fueled the spark for an Association that would stand out because of its awesome heart! Of all the accomplishments the ABRA has seen in the past five years, the most important success has been the promotion of a fun, upbeat, encouraging atmosphere that keeps getting harder and harder to find in the barrel racing industry today.
      The American Barrel Racing Association is now known for their strong faith and commitment to providing a fun, encouraging atmosphere for our members and their families. And the Heartbeat can be heard across the World as the ABRA Family grows and matures. It is the one and only nation-wide, non-profit, divisional barrel racing organization. The revenue generated by the membership keeps us going, but with the help of some great National Sponsors, like Smith Brothers, Action Company, and Arena Werks, the ABRA is able to do even more! ABRA members know that they are truly considered part of a family and not just another number or way for a company to make money. The ABRA is definitely Faith Lovin', Family Gatherin', Kid Caterin', Can Chasin' At Its Best!

What's Going on Now:
      The ABRA is looking forward to a great 2007 season after the success of an awesome 2006 NFBR! The staff of officers, directors, and producers are all working hard to provide even more events across the country to make it easier for members to qualify for State, Regional, National, & World finals events. The ABRA's goal is not to take over the barrel racing industry, but rather to be available to offer events to everyone in the country. Our passion is to be a Light in the barrel racing industry where all people, especially our youth, feel welcome, wanted, safe, and loved.

The Future of the ABRA:
      The American Barrel Racing Association has a definite goal that we consider to be divine and in demand. We know that there’s more to life than barrel racing, so we use the sport we love to bring people together and communicate a greater message of a Love that is available to everyone, no matter what their past or present situation may be. The ABRA refuses membership to no one, hoping to bring encouragement and joy to everyone.
      The future holds many exciting benefits for ABRA members, including annual clinics with some of the top barrel racing instructors in the country, Scholarship and Relief Funds, and even an ABRA Ministry, complete with our own Youth group! The ABRA will always honor their reputation for operating as a true association, for the members, and not a "business," designed to make money off the members. We hope you'll join the Family!
